The 6th Annual Contoocook Carry
Triathlon or Walk – Individual & Team
Athletes, Families, Teens, Kids and
Differently-Abled. Any Age or Walk of Life
Sunday, September 21, 2008
Contoocook, New Hampshire
First held in 2002 to support the town’s Spirit Skateboard Park, the Contoocook Carry offers local athletes and families a chance to have fun, while raising money to support our community. Join us this year as we raise money for those in need of food, fuel, shelter, medicine and counseling through Human Services.
In addition, we welcome back walkers and those who would simply like to enjoy an afternoon of Woody Roberts’ music
Support our town’s youth who are volunteering their time and their prizes to help those who are less fortunate and “give back” to their community.

TEAMS OF ANY SIZE ARE WELCOME
Any number of runners can hand off to each other. We have accepted runners from the animal kingdom as long as they are registered as part of your team. Any creative floating device that can finish the paddle in a timely fashion is welcome. Tandem bikes or parents riding next to their youngster riding a bike, has been acceptable in the race as long as everyone has a helmet on. Every team needs a name. (Examples of past names include Stanley Steamers, Two Buttheads and Brenda, The Old Guys, Two Polish Girls, Rock Chics. Costumes are appreciated but optional. Teams can be as small as (1) or as large as (?). We do have a 4-or-more legged runner category.
You decide on the morning of the race which category your team will enter. There are all the usual categories plus family teams, youth teams, father & son/daughter, mother & son/daughter, old guy teams, etc. You come up with a creative category and we will post it as long as you call in advance.
Timers are hand picked to give you results pretty darn close to your actual time.
Rules:
1. Every participant must sign a waiver and those under 18 must provide a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
2. Paddlers and bikers must wear safety vests and helmets respectively.
3. Teams may have as any number of runners or paddlers, but one boat and one bike (unless accompanying a child). The last runner tags the paddler(s) and a paddler tags the biker. For any questions, use the contact information below.
