Hopkinton Recreation Events
Greetings Everyone,

With the warm weather right around the corner the Hopkinton Recreation Department has some fun activites planned for you.  See what is going on by logging on to the Hopkinton Recreation website at www.hopkinton-nh.gov (then click Recreation).  Below are some upcomming events and stayed tune for some great summer programs to include: Summer Day Camp, Swim Lessons, July 4th celebration, Movie in the Park and more!!!


The Hopkinton Recreation Department is looking for qualified individuals to work as Camp Counselors and Lifeguards for this summer.  Job descriptions, qualifications and employment applications can be found online at

Community Scrapbook Session - This Sunday
Come on out this Sunday!!!  Whether you’re young or old, scrapbooking keeps your memories alive. Join Hopkinton Recreation as we bring you Liz Durant and her scrapbooking expertise. This community event is for either experts or beginners.  The big day of scrapbooking is on Sunday March 22nd  from 1:30 – 5pm at the Slusser Senior Center. Bring your pictures and scrapbook if you have one. Other materials and tools will be provided.  Call 746-2915 for more information.  More sessions on the way!!!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!!    Tickets on sale this Monday!!!
The Hopkinton Recreation Department wants you to join us for two amazing outings to Fenway Park to watch your beloved Boston Red Sox.  Each package includes roundtrip transportation from Contoocook to Fenway on a luxury coach, driver gratuity, and a ticket to the ballgame (right field box 90 & 91).  The cost is $75 per person.  You have two game choices--May 19th and October 1st.  We will leave Contoocook at 4pm for both games.  Hopkinton/Contoocook residents have first priority. The package deals go on sale March 23rd at 10am and can only be purchased in person at the Slusser Senior Center. Call 746-2915 with any questions.

Yoga for Everybody!
The Hopkinton Recreation Department invites you to discover the joys of slowing down as you cultivate strength, flexibility and peace of mind in a relaxing Yoga class designed especially for the working crowd. Whether you are new to Yoga, or have an advanced practice, this class will inspire and support your continued ability to sustain a healthy, active lifestyle for years to come. Classes are taught by trained professional Heather Harwood and will be held Mondays and Fridays from 5:30pm – 7pm at the Slusser Senior Center.  This 10-week program started March 2nd  and ends May 8th.  Classes are pay as you go for $5 per class.  Drop in any time!!  Call 746-2915 for more information.   

Easter Egg Hunt
Join the Hopkinton Recreation Department as they welcome back the Easter Bunny!  On Saturday, April 4th, join us at Houston Fields for the festivities!  The Bunny will arrive at 11am and the Easter egg hunt will begin at 11:30 am.  Children up to third grade can participate in the hunt.  The event will be held at the High School if the weather is poor or if there is still snow on the ground.  Please check the website or call 746-2915 for updates.  

Stars on Ice Tickets
The Hopkinton Recreation Department has secured a limited amount of discounted tickets for the only New Hampshire performance of the Stars on Ice featuring many Olympic and World champion ice skaters including Sasha Cohen, Todd Eldredge and many more.  The show is April 10th at 7:30pm at the Verizon Wireless Arena.  Tickets are $15 per person and are located on the upper tier.  Hopkinton/Contoocook residents have first priority so call 746-2915 to purchase your tickets.  

Casino Trip – Mohegan Sun
Sunday  March 29th.   Only 5 spots left!!   The package includes roundtrip transportation on a luxury coach, a $15 lunch voucher for the buffet, and $25 worth of bet vouchers for specific table games ($40 worth of perks!).  All this for $37 per person.  There will be two pick-up locations, one at 7:30am at the Slusser Senior Center and one in Bow Community Building at 8am.  We will arrive at the casino around 10:45am and leave at 5pm.  Call 746-2915 to register.  Brought to you by Hopkinton and Bow Recreation.
