Tennis For Everyone!!
It's tennis time! The Hopkinton Recreation Department is very excited to offer tennis instruction starting at age 4 through adult! Classes are offered Mondays or Tuesdays for a five-week session starting September 14th. Times vary throughout the day and the cost is $75 per adult and $60 per child. Certified tennis instructor(s) plan to offer tennis stroke and strategy fundamentals, all based on age and ability. Age-appropriate games and real game play will be incorporated into each class to provide a great learning environment, while having lots of fun! Rackets may be borrowed/purchased upon request. Take Me Out to the Ballgame!!
The Hopkinton Recreation Department wants you to join us for another amazing outing to Fenway Park to watch your beloved Boston Red Sox. The package includes roundtrip transportation from Contoocook to Fenway on a luxury coach, driver gratuity, and a ticket to the ballgame (right field box 90). The cost is $75 per person. The game is October 1st and we will leave Contoocook at 4pm. The package deal is on sale now and can only be purchased in person at the Slusser Senior Center. Call 746-2915 with any questions. Community Scrapbook Session
September Sessions Announced!! Whether you’re young or old, scrapbooking keeps your memories alive. Join Hopkinton Recreation as we bring you Liz and Patrice and their scrapbooking expertise. These community events are for either experts or beginners. The two days of scrapbooking are Sunday September 13th from 1:30 – 5pm and Friday September 25th from 6:30 – 10pm and is held at the Slusser Senior Center. Bring your pictures and scrapbook if you have one. Other materials and tools will be provided. Call 746-2915 for more information.
Co-Ed Adult Volleyball
Every Sunday night from 7-9pm at the Hopkinton High School gymnasium, come and join us for volleyball. All skill levels are welcome and there is no fee. Just show up ready for a great time!
Indoor Soccer Team
Hopkinton Recreation is gearing up for Co-ed Indoor Soccer and looking for team members. We play at the Fieldhouse Sports recreational facility in Bow. The games will start the week of October 19 and end mid December. Men must be 25 years or older and women must be 21 years and older. This is a fun league for all levels of play, no matter your experience. Cost will be between $90 and $110, depending on how many players we get. Call 746-2915 to register and for more information. Fall Festival - Halloween Holler
The Hopkinton Recreation Department will be hosting a Fall Festival on Saturday October 24th from 12pm – 3pm at Kimball Cabins. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up and conducting games and activities. Please contact Justin at 746-2915 to sign-up or for more information.
Slusser Senior Center Indoor Yard Sale
The seniors of Hopkinton/Contoocook are hosting their annual indoor yard sale and need your donations. The sale will benefit the Slusser Senior Center and provide the center with some new amenities. The sale will be on October 3rd, 8am – 2pm. Please call 746-3800 and ask for Lillian. We are no longer accepting books and clothing.
