The "SUNDAYS IN RIVERWAY PARK" concert series sponsored by local area musicians "in the spirit of the Lewellen family and the volunteers who restored and maintain the Depot and Pullman car" and supported by the Hopkinton Recreation Dept. will be playing for the 3rd

JULY 15: MINK HILLS BLUEGRASS BAND, a great bluegrass group that regularly surprises audiences with delightful swing numbers as well, opens this year’s concert series.
JULY 22: The CARTER MOUNTAIN BRASS BAND, based in Gilford, NH, is arguably the state’s finest Brass Band. One of only two NH bands invited to the 2010 Boston Festival of Bands, the glorious harmony of resounding brass under conductor John Beyrent will fill the park and echo up and down the river valley.
JULY 29: WOODY ROBERTS AND HIS BAND have “kept us dancing around here for decades”. This series would have been incomplete without some of his real live CONTOOCOOK NH-BASED MUSIC!
AUG 5: JEFF DEARBORN and THE CONTOOCOOK BLUES SOCIETY--Area Blues lovers already know all about Jeff and his friends. Why go to Chicago when you can listen to these folks right here at home?
AUG12: DAVE DUSTIN and his TALL GRANITE JAZZ BAND is a spirited homage to Chicago style “Hot” jazz from the 1920s, into the Swing jazz of the ‘30s and ‘40s, and the swinging “Cool” jazz of the ‘50s and ‘60s.
AUG 19: THE PRODIGALS nine-piece jazz band will bring swinging arrangements of gospel classics plus some jazz standards to our series for the first time. “Just the thing for a Sunday in the Park!”
AUG 26: JEFF DEARBORN PRESENTS: CHAIN DRIVE WALLET – Classic country music right here. This year Jeff is saving us a trip to Nashville…
SEPT 2: THE FOUNTAIN SQUARE RAMBLERS DIXIELAND JAZZ BAND has been performing New Orleans-based Dixieland Jazz in our wonderful Jane Lewellen Bandstand since it was first built. This home-town band closes out the 2012 “SUNDAYS IN RIVERWAY PARK” CONCERT SERIES.
