The deadline for Veteran's Credit applications for the tax year is April 15th (following the December bill issuance) for any property owner filing for these benefits.

General Guidelines for Veteran's Credit
The town offers a $500 veteran credit to qualified applicants. Applicants must have resided in New Hampshire for at least one year prior to April 1st. Applicants must have owned the property as of April 1st and served at least 90 consecutive days in the armed forces for the United States in a qualifying war or armed conflict as defined by the State and was honorably discharged or separated from service. For conflicts occurring since May 8, 1975 veterans must have earned an armed forces expeditionary medal or a "theater of operations service medal" or been issued an "award" as clarified by the State denoting combat service. The spouse or un-remarried surviving spouse of such a resident also qualifies for the $500 credit.
A resident who was terminated from the armed forces because of a total and permanent service-connected disability or the un-remarried surviving spouse of that resident qualifies for the additional $2,000 credit.
