Dog License Reminder - Due by April 30

If you have not already licensed your dog(s), please remember to do so by April 30.  

  • Current rabies vaccination required; we may have vaccination information in our system, but if vaccinated within the past few months (or never licensed in Hopkinton), you will need to provide the rabies tag number and expiration date (your vet will have this information if you cannot locate it)
  • Spayed/neutered dog:  $7.50
  • Puppy (4 to 7 mos.):  $7.50
  • Unaltered dog:  $10.00
  • Senior dog owner (65+):  $2.00 for first dog; regular price for additional dogs
  • Group rate for 5 or more dogs with same owner:  $20.00
  • Licenses may be purchased:
    • In person during Town Clerk/Tax Collector Office hours
    • Via the drop box in front of Town Hall (please add $1.00 per license for postage)
    • Through the mail (please add $1.00 per license for postage)
    • Online, through the Online Payments Kiosk on the Town website (only renewal licenses with current rabies vaccination information on record may be purchased online; $1.00 per license for postage is automatically added to online license renewals)

(For each dog not licensed by June 1:  in addition to the cost of license(s) and $1.00 per month (per dog) late fee, State of New Hampshire RSA 466:14 requires the clerk of the city or town to issue a $25 (per dog) civil forfeiture fee to the owner or keeper of each unlicensed dog.)
