Budget Committee

The Budget Committee has the following duties and responsibilities under NH RSA 32:16:

1. To prepare the budget for submission to each annual or special meeting of the voters of the town, the school district, and the village precincts.
2. To confer with the the governing bodies and with other officers, department heads and other officials, relative to estimated costs, revenues anticipated, and service performed to the extent deemed necessary by the budget committee.
3. To conduct the public hearing under RSA 32:5, I (the yearly budget hearing)
4. To forward copies of the final budgets to the clerks and deliver 2 copies of such budgets and recommendations upon money related warrant articles to the respective governing bodies to be posted with the warrant.
